Kittens for sale Society Recommendations:
- Kittens should be 13 weeks old before leaving the breeder.
- Breeders should ensure that kittens are house-trained, and in general good health before leaving the cattery.
- Kittens should be vaccinated for cat flu and enteritis before leaving the breeder. Many breeders will also vaccinate against feline leukaemia (FeLV) and chlamydia.
- You should receive a signed pedigree and transfer of ownership certificate.
- Society breeders are advised not to sell kittens for show / breeding, when at the time of sale it is obvious that they are of pet quality or have veterinary defects.
- In addition most breeders will offer insurance for a limited period to cover the travelling / settling in period.
